Unexplained phenomena at Mahan's Samadhi during the 100th Wisdom Day celebrations in Nov 2011

 

Guru Noordin (3rd grandson of GP Mahan) and family were preparing for the Wisdom day celebrations with an expected crowd of 5000 or more. Suddenly on the 7th.November there was a power failure at the Sabhai. The local electricity board was informed who sent in their technicians to rectify the problem. After checking they informed Guru Noordin that the cables were corroded and worn out. They have to change to new cables which means having to dig up the whole area. This is not a good idea as they will take up to a week to change the cables. Thousands will be coming in and it will be a very sore sight with all the digging and the mess. So a final decision was made by Guru Noordin and family members not to start the repair works now but to do only after the celebrations ie from 13th.Novembers onwards. There wont be any power supply for event and so started preparing by getting lamps,candles and so on. Their enthusiasm was dampened. Even though the celebrations are to be held at Thangam Malligai next door, thousands will still be coming to visit Mahan's Samadhi and the museum and without electricity it was going to be very messy. Then all of a sudden on the 9thNovember power supply was back to normal putting everyone in a blissful state. The celebrations on the 11th and 12th November was very successful. On the 13th the electricity board technicians came to do the repair works and were surprised and puzzled as to how the power came back because according to them it was impossible to have the power supply as the cables were destroyed thru corrosion.
