A SWEET MEETING LAUNCHES THE JOURNEY TO BLISS
In 1960, at the age of eight I was taken along by my mother and a neighbour, who was the wife of Guru Paranjothi K.Velu, to get the blessings of a "Holy man" who had come from India.
At a first-floor apartment in Jalan Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur, we met this person. He was short, was wearing a white dhoti and had a very pleasant face.
Although I was apprehensive and fearful when my mother asked me to come along, such feelings disappeared as soon as I saw the person who, I was to learn much later, was none other than His Holiness Gnanavallal Paranjothi Mahan.
I took an instant liking to him. After offering me his blessings, His Holiness Gnanavallal Paranjothi Mahan gave me a Hacks sweet.
My mother and I returned home with a postcard-size photograph of His Holiness Gnanavallal Paranjothi Mahan which was placed in a good spot in the hall of our house in Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur.
Sixteen years later, on 18 October 1976, I had a strange dream. In it, I was carrying a baby which was caressing me. All of sudden, the baby transformed into His Holiness Gnanavallal Paranjothi Mahan !
The next day, I related the dream to my neighbour, Guru Paranjothi Velu, who advised me to go to Singapore immediately to meet His Holiness Gnanavallal Paranjothi Mahan who was visiting the republic then. Guru Paranjothi Velu instructed me to get initiated into Kundalini Yoga.
On 20 October 1976, at 10am, I was initiated into Kundalini Yoga by His Holiness Gnanavallal Paranjothi Mahan at 549-A, Upper Serangoon Road, Singapore.
Following my initiation into Kundalini Yoga, I served as an active member of His Holiness Gnanavallal Paranjothi Mahan's Universal Peace Sanctuary in Old Klang Road, Kuala Lumpur. I was the treasurer of the Paranjothi Paripurana Gnana Sabhai formed in 1977, and gradually became close confidant of G.P Mahan.
On one occasion, G.P Mahan suddenly asked me: "Tell me, what do you want, quickly, quickly!" All I could say then was that i want his blessings. And, he said: "You will have my blessings forever!"
Since then, with G.P Mahan's blessings, I have been running the Centre for the Practice and Propagation of G.P Mahan's Kundalini Yoga in Ampang, Selangor.
I have initiated people into Kundalini Yoga from all over the world, including Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia, India, Australia, Japan, Italy, France, Denmark and USA.
In conclusion, this is my advice to all disciples of G.P Mahan's Kundalini Yoga: No matter who you are or what you are, always try to place your thought on your third eye. This is the easiest and safest Kundalini Yoga practice ever devised.
