For beginners in Kundalini Yoga Meditation in GP Mahans method, the first 2 weeks are very important because one has to abstain from sex , smoking and alcoholic drinks. Some of them will not be able to abstain esp.sex. Sometimes a married woman will come and wish to get the initiation ..I will insist that prior permission is given by the husband and vice versa. Sometimes back a married man came to get initiation. He agreed to the terms of the 2 week trial and I gave him the initiation. 3 days later he came back and said he did not abstain and wanted to re do the initiation. I obliged and told him to be more careful this time. 2 days later again he came back and said he had another fallout and wanted again to be re-initiated. I told him to go and come back in 5 years time. For married people it is compulsory that both parties understand and agree to the 2 week trial. Some people do not take Kundalini Yoga seriously--for them its just a fad. Santhosham.
